Eco nuggets:
Summer is Here!
Here are some ways to continue to be more eco-conscious this season:
- Start composting! Spring/summer is a great time to start a compost. There are many ways to do this, you can read more about them in the blog post: 5 Ways to Be More Sustainable This Earth Month
- Participate in Plastic Free July! Think of this as a mid-year plastic audit. Check out ECO MKE for all things PFJ!
- Start a garden! Whether you’re planting things in pots or going full out with a dedicated section in your yard, gardening is a great way to get outside and grow fresh food to use throughout the season.
- Eat seasonal fruits and veggies! The farmers markets are hot this summer and loaded with all of your seasonal faves. Support local farmers and choose product that isn’t packaged in plastic.
